Offices and The Creativity Zone
3 years ago • 12 notesI’m a huge advocate of allowing employees to work from home when they want or on a schedule that’s the most conducive to how they work, and Dan Benjamin explains why better than I ever could have:
Most people’s work environments, most typical offices, are actually harmful to the ability of developers, designers, writers, and other creative people to get into The Zone (see below).
Think about it: you’re hiring somebody who needs to concentrate to be productive, and then you’re putting them in a situation where they can’t.
